Neo Turf Masters - NEO GEO

Being a fan of golf games ever since Leaderboard on the Spectrum, I was anxious to give this a go when I saw a screenshot of it. I was not dissapointed.

This is a fantastic golf game which is very easy to play, adopting the typical swingometer bar for speed/shot position. There are 6 players to choose from in the game, each having their own strengths/weaknesses. My particular favourite is the German fellow. Along with choice of player, you can also choose from 4 courses to play on, so there is a good variety of holes within the game. The music is spot on, and the graphics suit it to the ground. No 3D malarky here, just plain simple effective graphics.

The controls couldnt be simpler enough - Up and Down chooses the club, left and right fairly obvious, button A sets off the swingometer and B & C are the slic of the ball. Very easy indeed.

Throughout the game, there is occasionally a contest which you participate in such as Longest Drive Contest where whoever hits the ball from the Tee the furthest, is the winner, and also Closest To The Pin Contest which is self explanatory. These also increase the games playability to no end.

If you like golf games, then this is a must, but if not then this would probably not suit you, but try it anyway. Thats all I ask :)
