SD Snatcher - MSX |

|

This is one of the best games I have ever played. It was only released on the MSX 2 in 1990 by Konami,
the same year 'Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake' was released (yes, the MSX 2 game on which 'Metal Gear Solid'
for the playstation is based). It's an RPG that was based on the game 'The Snatcher', which is an adventure
game.

The graphics of 'SD Snatcher' were superb and the SCC sound was great. There are lots of songs in the
game that give the different scenes a great atmosphere. But the main thing that makes the game so fantastic
is the story. It's very ingenious and as it develops during the game, the tension mounts to great heights.

I'm not going to explain exactly what it is about, since it's so huge and it has many different storylines.
But you start out as a guy named Gilian Seed in the year 2042, who has lost his memory. Furthermore there
have been several accidents in which strange creatures were involved. It seems that this has something
to do with a great disaster in a lab in Moscow that happened 50 years ago. Gilian decides to join Junker,
a special high-tech police squad that was set up to combat the creatures, who are mainly known as snatchers,
since they snatch human bodies and take over their place in society.
