To say I have waited years for this to be released and running on an emulator is like saying my gracious host for this review has to beat off the women with a shitty stick, maybe not years, but I have waited a damn long time. For anyone that dosent know, Kick n Run was the best football game ever in an arcade, it may have been a little gimmeky sure, but it had 2 very special things that no football game has had before.

1) A Pedal to shoot with.
2) 4 player mode ! ! !

Now, getting down to the nitty gritty, the game is a classic, but unfortunately it has some glitches in the current mame, just some sound issues, certainly not enough to stop the playability shining through, with the same kind of glow after you have eaten your readybrek in the basement of the springfield nuclear plant (i.e. it shines quite brightly). It was the first football game to have realistic overhead kicks, headers. Basically your competing in a world cup against the computer, or it has it your good 2,3,4 player modes. When this was released back in the day, (around the same time as Outrun if I remember correctly) it had people flocking in droves away from the shiny sitdown version of Outrun. Rose tinted specs are a great thing to wear in 1999 and that's what Im looking at this game through probably, but try it out, you might just be swept of your feet..again.
