Real life? Who needs it when you have Alter Ego, the "life simulator".
For those who havent played it, Alter Ego can be classed at the very
lowest level as a text adventure, but underneath its drab exterior lies
a game that will have you rivetted to your seat, even in 1999.
You start the game before you are even born with an option of coming
out fighting or coming out easy, after that you are taken on a roller-coaster
ride through life, go through school, get married, have kids, get a
job, die, not always in that order.
Im sure everyone has at one time or another wanted to be a girl for
a while (whats that marrez? just you?) so for those of you who are as
twisted as I am, you can load the "female" version of the
game, now you can fulfill your fantasy of being harder to crack than
a safe, or you can play the town bike if you like. The beauty of Alter
ego is that there are no set rules.
Describing the game is doing it an injustice, if you have never had
the pleasure, then fire it up straight away, it works great with CCS64,
now.. if someone could do an Alter Ego 99, I would never need leave
the house again :-)
