Well isnt this fitting for a bloke named Leatherface to review :)
Since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of my fave films, I drooled at finding out this game existed. So I checked it out on an Atari 2600 emulator, and was I dissapointed? Yes and No.
In the game, you control the ever handsome Leatherface and you have to go around killing women that are wandering around the woods. Sounds easy? It aint. There are obstacles in your way, such as trees and Franklins Wheelchair
(if you have seen the film, you will know what I mean) which stop your progress until you cut em up. The victims can be a pain in the arse too and are very good at dodging you, so patience is needed as you move back and forth trying to saw them
The reason I was dissapointed was because, to be honest, the game is shite. At least in the film there was a meaning to killing the people (mainly for BBQ or to protect the 'family business'), but on this game they are just simple chainsaw fodder.
What is good, is that you get to control Leatherface :) I would have though the character would be Sally from the film, escaping the Godly villain called Leatherface.
If your a fan of the film, try this out if only to see the title screen - its a nice homeage to the 'camera flash' intro on the film. Check it out.
