PROJECTVirtual-E
is a project with a fundamental objective, develop one of the best console emulators on
the web. Starting with that we have a second more complex project, try to connect the
Virtual Boy with an IO Port to exchange, generate and manipulate 3D images in the system.
This part is ambicious but we FINALLY made it!!!

This day is memorable for the VirtualE project because the VEGL DEMO
is available to show a spinning cube rendered in the Virtual Boy using OpenGL. This idea was the origin of all
this project, and now the VB could be used as a 3D rendering device. Please, check this first VEGL DEMO out and wait for greatest tools to come, a new OpenGL wrapper (VEGL2) and
probably USB support. I want to thank DogP for all his support, he provided source code and valuable ideas that
brings this demo to life. He is also working on the Link2USB hardware so a better VEGL could come with such
great work. Now, I will focus on the new VIDE and probably a new emulator based on FXer which supports sound and realtime debugging.

More than five years since the last post, the VirtualE project is back. First of all, I want
to thank Chris and the VR32.DE team because the Flashboy tool has been a valuable tool to find out more about
how the real VB hardware works. Now, I have finished the TRON game featuring the
Affine mode and music effects.
In the near future I will post a complete document to explain the music and the affine (based all on the
David Tucker work). I will be working on the Link Port connection to complete the VirtualE project, and finally
port 3D graphics from PC to VB. Meanwhile, please feel free to play and let me know all your comments regarding
the TRON game and if you are a developer and have comments about the link port, please
contact me because at this point, all the information helps.

Well, it was a while since the last update, but I had a lot of work here. I have some advances on the VirtualE project. First, The EPROM is still a mess, but do not worry, if anyone sells a complete programming kit for VB please let me now. Second, I'm co-working on the new emulator for PC-FX called FXer (more info www.pcenginefx.com) which lead me to build a multiplatform emulator, the idea here is to have the FXer and VE working with the same interface, including debugging features and other cool stuff not available with the current VirtualE. Furthermore, we could have other emulators together, like NES, GBA and so on... complete "plugability", you name it, more information about this will be available soon. Third, I got the news that out there is information available about sound and affine that could make a better VB emulator, if anyone has this information please share it to make the next VirtualE better, I received some requests to make this new version as good as the ViBE... hopefully with this information we could make it. Fourth, I changed the VIDE zip file as requested, just download the vide12.zip file.

The EPROM is really annoying me. It has been such a nightmare... I'm requesting help! I give at least
2 hours per week of my time to find out whats wrong with my EPROM, but I'm lost. If anyone has a solid background on
electronics and just want to help a crazy guy with an uncompleted piece of %$#%$# do not hesitate on help. I really
need somebody, HELP!

I am so close to get my EPROMs and start some good stuff on VB. Until this happens, I worked a
while with the Virtual-Environment and it has new features to try, like the "Export to .h"
plugin and a short explanation on the Help File about "How to run the VECC on VIDE". It also has some improvements
so I recommend to give VIDE a try. I'm still working on figure out the Affin mode, to add this feature on the
TRON game, but I hope to finally find all about it with the EPROM.
