Virtual-E archive 2000.

Updates:

October 20th, 2000 Do you want to make better VB games? Then try my VirtualE C compiler. I know that many of you just dont want program but give the VB a chance and write the game you always dream to play on 3D. It has some restrictions, but check it out, I'm writing the complete TRON game on C :-) In a few weeks you will be hearing also about it.
August 7th, 2000 After a while, living full of work, and without the EPROM going on, I decided to release my full v810 assembler that is the 1.0 version now, because it is completely functional. The only missing thing is the precompilation branch and segment definition. But... have many new things that will be great for any VB developer in the scene. The most important features are the complete label support (even works with jal, br, etc. which works with relative values) and the math evaluator (to write 2*5 instead of 10). Check it. The promised v810 C compiler is also on its final stages, so you will hear soon about it.
May 10th, 2000 Now the VirtualE project is stand by. I decided to stop working on the project until I finish the EPROM. I have all the pieces to build it except the EPROM, and I even tried to find it with a local vendor without success, so I'll make an order for it in mouser.com and hope to receive this piece as soon as possible to finish it and continue with this project, meanwhile I'm working in the new VE game. I received many emails about a future release of my emulator, and I answered to all the emugamers that the VE Emulator will have a new version only if I find out the Affin mode and the sound processing, only then I will make this new release to work with many new features and make it faster and better. The project will remain freeze until I complete this EPROM stuff which is a real headache.
February 24th, 2000 Many things happen on this project. First, the guy that supposely was helping me with the EPROM doesn't make nothing, it only returns me the cart that I give to him and that's all, I'll make the EPROM for my own, buying the parts and all the stuff (I'm feeling so angry about this because that &%$$&% made me loose many weeks of work). Second, I wrote the document about how you can make your own GameLink cable... named A GameLink Port Interface Approach. Third, I'm trying to conclude the analysis to the Mario Tennis code to finally publish some of the game stuff on this site. As you can see I'm in troubles on this project if I ain't able to finish the EPROM stuff, so again... gimme luck.
February 13th, 2000 I got more than 5,000 lines decompiled from Mario Tennis and this reveal some secrets about the VB. I hope in a couple of days finish this process to have up to the selection screen in this game. If everything goes fine also I'll know some tricks about the Affin mode to finally make a new document on this. Also a new game from the VirtualE team can be part of this... and the candidate is a TRON-like game. Gimme luck with all this.
January 9th, 2000 Working together with David Tucker, we're trying to find out the real initialization routines to write games as real as possible. I'm on the last steps to have the complete initialization functions... Maybe in a few days I'll post a page with this information that will help to write a complete VB game with all the needed handling stuff. Also I'm learning electronics... to make the vb hacking more easy.
January 3rd, 2000 We are part of the y2k. The VirtualE project makes slow advances, and the only think I can do is be patient. Well, the VirtualE team can only say Happy New Year. Wait for some future posts, with information about the new plans that VirtualE has for the VB.
